Curriculum

The teachers at Noble Park Secondary College take great pride in their role and are proactive in keeping up-to-date with the best possible teaching methods. They research and read widely, regularly consult with curriculum experts and constantly develop new ways to help their students thrive and achieve.

The Year 7 and 8 curriculum’s are designed to help students develop their leadership skills, decision making abilities and creativity.

The Year 9 curriculum are designed to encourage students to be lifelong learners with a focus on communication, thinking, reflecting and collaboration.

In Years 10, 11 and 12, the focus is on helping students develop the skills they will need for tertiary education and the workforce. Students will work with teachers and parents to select a Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or Vocational Education Training (VET) program that best suits their skills, talents and interests.

Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE)

This must be completed across two years and is the pathway that students are directed to should they wish to pursue further tertiary study beyond school and/or enter a profession which requires VCE as a prerequisite.  Students may choose from a range of studies.

Vocational Education Training (VET)

Vocational Education and Training courses enable students to learn the practical components of specific industry requirements to support the theory behind specific professions. Students will have a better understanding of what skills are needed to achieve a successful completion in many of the courses offered. All students will receive a nationally accredited certificate at the end of their course. A VET course can also lead into further tertiary qualifications.

A number of our international students are enrolled in various courses: Certificate III Health, Certificate II Salon Assistant, Certificate II Business, Certificate II Sport & Recreation, Certificate II Automotive.

Our current VET providers are Chisholm, Skillinvest and Foundation Learning Centre they are professional and well known in the community.
