Year 7 & 8 Curriculum
The Year 7 and 8 curriculum’s are designed to help students develop their leadership skills, decision making abilities and creativity. The College offers a safe and supportive environment that caters to all students and where all students are safe and feel safe.
The curriculum’s, aligned with the Victorian Curriculum, encourage students to be lifelong learners with a focus on communication, thinking, reflecting and collaboration. The electives program at Noble Park Secondary College allows students to choose their own Arts and Technology based subjects from Year 7.
Structure of the Curriculum
In Years 7 and 8 all students are engaged in a common core curriculum as well as electives that provide a strong foundation for future studies. Our focus is on the development of lifelong learners with the strong personal qualities and confidence necessary to meet the challenges of life in a complex information-rich and constantly changing world in the 21st Century.
Year 9 Curriculum
The Year 9 curriculum is designed to encourage students to be lifelong learners with a focus on communication, thinking, reflecting, and collaboration. The College has high expectations of students in Year 9, and all students are expected to achieve their personal best in every subject and to participate in other activities such as sport, debating, and community events.

In Year 9, the curriculum is structured so students undertake studies across all domains to ensure that they have a firm foundation for further studies. Most subjects are core and undertaken in home group classes, so students build strong relationships with their classmates.
